Yo man, if you are looking for a nice and solid monitor arm, you should give Prism+ Arc Opus a shot. The metallic base with USB solved the trouble and good for work from home. Their service was great as well! They got me covered with just an email. Thanks Prism+
Ordered two sets of monitor arms, and they are very nice, helps to keep the desk tidy and more room especially when dealing with limited space on the desk.
The Arc Opus is a much better monitor arm than the original Arc 01.
In comparison, during use, the monitor's left right swing is much smoother, the gas spring is much more responsive, and the overall build quality of the materials feels better (the dark finish is really nice). As for the cons of this arm, like the Arc 01, the tilt rotation (up down) of the monitor is only adjusted by friction and not a counterbalance spring, for heavier monitors this means that it'll have to be set so tight that tilting the screen is going to require a lot of force and you might hear your monitor creaking when making that adjustment (I've used this with a W270 and C315 Max and both have this creaking) Another con is that unlike the Arc 01, the cable management on the upper side of the arm is just a small clip - this clip is very weak and prone to popping off of the arm, I've opted to not use the clip at all and manage the cable with cable ties instead (included photos - hooking the cable up to the center of the VESA mount is a great way to make sure the cable doesn't move too much when adjusting the monitor, and preventing the cables from peaking out underneath your monitor)
Back to pros, installation is much easier (thanks to the arm being assembled one piece at a time), and the grip is much more secure (thanks to a full size rubber padding underneath the base of the unit).
All in all I am happy with this purchase, I don't believe you can get a monitor arm as good as this for even up to 300 SGD.
Arc Opus is easy to assemble, and it frees up a lot of desk space for me! Very stable even with a 32 inch monitor, it holds up very well, while still being easy to adjust. Just need to really tighten the screw!
