I have purchased 2 Prism+ Arc Opus Monitor Arm, 2 Prism+ monitors and recently the Prism+ E65 Smart TV.
1) I have been asked to write a review on the 2 Prism+ Arc Opus Monitor Arm.
Firstly I was skeptical on mounting my 27” Philips 5.8kg monitor with the table top mount thinking that it will not be stable as seen in the photo my table structure / frame is not flat at the bottom.
The initial option was to drill a hole and use the clamp installation. I gave the grommet clamp a try and it fastened firmly with ¾ of the grommet surface, hand tight meaning I did not have to over tighten the clamp screw.
My table space has increased and my monitor has taken a bit of my walking space as it mounted to the LHS of the table. I have bumped / knocked the monitor hard many times and the clamp connection onto the table has not moved. This is a win on the product for me.
2) Design: As I walk into my room, the space grey arm is sleek in design and blends well with the black monitor casing, which is always exposed facing the doorway. With a bit of proper wire management is not an eye sore.
3) Prism+ has delivered to what they have advertised on the monitor + Arc Opus Monitor Arm:
A} The 4 main adjustments: tilt swivel, rotate, up/down, front/back works perfectly fine. The monitor arm components are manufactured with quality and are sturdy, before and after the mounting of the monitor. Initially the spring tension is not tight, you will have to adjust it with the allen key.
You will still have to do your own homework on the specification of the range and motion that you require.
B) The 2 x USB ports are useful and located well for USB accessories.
4) Pricing: I purchased the 1st unit at retail price and the 2nd unit at $119 (30% discount) which is definitely more affordable.
5) Customer service:
Due to the COVID the show room is closed and I have difficulty getting Prism+ over the phone. Thus the best way is to use the online chat with them at their web page. I hope you get Jack or Anna as they went all out to help me solve some minor compatibility problems with an old monitor. Jack went the extra mile to help me locate spare parts online.
As I said as this in online, you can feel that Jack has this I will never give up attitude and must try to find a solution, you just have to be patient and give him some time.
6) In summary, the Arc Opus arm is designed well and performs as advertised, it has value for the money spent on it.
Do your research on the specifications to avoid compatibility issues.
Nothing is always perfect, there will always be a minor glitch and hopefully a solution.
This is me just being asked to review the Opus Arc Monitor Arm, I will probably need more pages for the Prism+ X300 & Prism F270 monitors and E65 Smart TV.
No issues on communication and delivery timing.
Very stable, despite my fairly ghetto setup with the stand attached to my bed frame and a 32 inch monitor, it holds up very well, while still being easy to adjust
I’m so happy with this monitor Arm. It holds my Acer Predator X34 just fine.
Finally an uncluttered desk 😊
My first Prism product is the Arc Opus. Very gorgeous looking and I am using it for my Philips 35 inch TV. What was mentioned in description is what you're going to get. Desk looking neat and tidy. Delivery was fast and furious. Delivered 2 days after purchased. Next is to buy their Monitor or TV :) Highly recommended! #Supportlocalproduct
