Im now a fan of PRISM+ TVs !! Just got my second PRISM+ U55 after getting a U75 model earlier this year and i must say it is simply awesome!! The picture quality is perfect and the sound is amazing!! I highly recommend PRISM+ TVs to everyone out there !! You Will Love it!! ❤️ PRISM+ is the way to go!!
The reason i bought U55 is because it support VESA 300x200 as my bedroom wall already has many holes for past TV brackets. And this U55 mounted perfectly onto my existing bracket from LG. However, i need to get 4x M6 5cm screws myself.
I went for miniLED as i know that it's much better than other LCD type panels but i did not expect U55 to be this good!!
The Picture Quality (PQ) exceeded my expectation as i normally use it for youtube, local 1080i (25Hz) channels, Tiktok. When i streamed Netflix 4k on U55, the PQ again amazed me. Even though the brightness is about 550 nits, it's more than enough for me as i watch movies or drama in dark room. For bright room, 550 nits is bright enough too. The default Picture mode, e.g., Standard, Movie, Vivid and Energy surprised me as i don't need to further change any more settings. The defaults nailed it. Kudos to Prism+ engineers.
I love the Google TV as it gives me more options to download my favourite apps. It's currently fast enough but it would be better to have faster CPU, RAM and storage. Sometimes, i can feel some lag if i opened a few downloaded apps.
The sound quality (SQ) amazed me too. It's definitely much better than all my previous old LG TVs. However, if the bass is stronger or more solid, the SQ would be great and i might not need my Bose soundbar anymore. Currently, it's about 60% of what my Bose soundbar could offer. I like the mid and high but the low is not enough.
In sum, U55 truly exceeded my expectation and i have no regret buying it after using it for almost a week. I hope that U55 can last at least 5 years though.
