Ceiling Fan Size & Clearance
*A minimum clearance from the tip of the blades to the nearest ceiling fixture is critical to allow unrestricted airflow and to prevent unwanted noise or fan wobbling.
I bought 3 units of the Prism fan 1 week ago. The team came to install within 3 days and removed the existing fans. They are so far working well. I also like the lights feature and the fact that the motor warranty is perpetual. But one negative feedback that I must highlight and hope the team will be more attentive is over the dust generated in a home! I’m one who’s concerned about dust from drilling. So I offered my help to vacuum the dust when the man drills the ceiling. I was assured that the built-in vacuum will suck up the dust from the drilling. First 2 rooms were ok. But when the man progressed to the 3rd room, he encountered some obstruction with the wiring on the ceiling and started drilling many spots where the drill vacuum was not sucking the dust and therefore caused the whole room to be polluted with fine dust on small gadgets, computer screen and keyboard and many other things including the walls and window panes! Ended up, I have to do an extensive cleaning/vacuuming of the room which would have been unnecessary, just like the 1st 2 rooms, if the man had taken additional precautions!
